Busy Summer!

Whew! It has been a SUPER BUSY summer for us! SO SO sorry it has been so long! I don't even know when the last time I blogged was, as a matter of fact, I think the last few posts have been Paislee's birthday posts, and that's IT! :o( Things should be settling down for us here soon, so I will be able to blog more often!

At the beginning of July, Jason decided that it would be best if Paislee and I flew home, rather than making the drive across the country with him. I was a little worried about him going alone, and me flying with a baby too, but in the end it worked out great and I am glad I listened to him! SO, since July 10th, Paislee and I have been in North Carolina, visiting lots of family and friends! Jason made it home, safe and sound, on August 1st, and we have been running around like crazy visiting family ever since! We just celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Myrtle Beach, and took Paislee to the beach for the first time--looks like we have a beach baby on our hands :o) I will post lots and lots of pictures from our summer when we get settled in, in Portland! We will be leaving North Carolina this Saturday, and will arrive in Maine on Sunday so Jason can report to work Monday morning. We are still house hunting, and can't really find anything that we are satisfied with, so we are crossing our fingers that we find something soon!

Hope everyone is having a great summer! Sorry this post is so short and rushed, I just had a few extra minutes with my hands free and wanted to update!

XOXO,

Ashley

4 months

Paislee Marie, you are four months old today!

I can't believe how fast you are growing! You weigh 15 pounds, and you are 25 inches long. You are wearing size 2 diapers, and mostly 6 month clothes.

As you (and everyone else) may have noticed, there isn't much time to blog these days! You keep me busy busy! We are in the middle of moving from Alaska to Maine, and right now we are in North Carolina meeting and visiting family. I promise I'll blog more when you let me!

I am loving your little personality more and more everyday! You are such a happy little girl! As long as everything is going exactly how you want it to go ;0). You are starting to laugh and squeal a lot, it is so stinkin' cute! I think you were getting tired of seeing just me and daddy everyday. You seem to be learning much faster now that you meet someone new almost everyday.

You are now eating a few solids almost everyday. We started you at the beginning of the month on a little bit of cereal mixed with milk every few days because you started acting super hungry...I think it was a growth spurt because now you seem perfectly satisfied with just milk. We are still giving you cereal every night before bathtime, just to get you used to solids, and we even started mixing bananas in. You have also tried sweet potatoes and carrots. You don't seem to be interested though, mommy is still your best bud for now :0) Don't worry, I'm gonna take advantage for as long as I can! Speaking of, you still won't take a bottle! I don't think it's because you don't know how, I think it's because you don't want to! You are a stubborn little turd! We are now starting to work with you and a sippy cup, maybe you will take that instead? We are hoping you give in soon, we would like to take an overnight trip for our anniversary in a few weeks....please?? You have recently started taking a pacifier so we are hoping that will lead to a bottle soon!

You are getting better at not being held 24/7. You play on your little play mat, in your exersaucer, and most recently in your new jumperoo (you love it!). You love laying on your back and holding your feet! I've even caught you sucking your toes a few times, ha! I love watching you hold your feet, it's too cute!
You are also sitting very well, with a little help, and standing with help too! Over the last few days you have even been reaching for cups and opening your mouth to drink from them.

Today we went to the pool for the first time and you loved it! Looks like we have a little water baby on our hands!

Your sleeping habits are getting pretty regular now. You are asleep every night usually by 9, and you are only waking up once between then and 7am when you wake up :0) You take two naps a day, in the morning and afternoon, usually 2-3 hours each. You are finally letting us put you down to sleep, so now it's time to work on getting you in the crib!

You are growing so fast, I can't believe it. I'm so thankful your daddy works hard so I can stay home with you and not miss anything. We love you so much, more and more everyday, and can't wait to see all of the new things you learn over the next month!

XOXO,
Ashley

Correction....

TODAY is actually Paislee's 3 Month Birthday--my mind is going crazy! I was so concerned about getting the post up on time that I actually put it up a day early--whoops! Anyways, Happy 3 Month Birthday TODAY to my sweet baby girl!

Poopsie Daisy!

Paislee,
The day before yesterday I was working on your 'Birthday Blog' and you were sitting in your bouncy seat watching me. I noticed you were really gassy and thought to myself that you must be working on a poop, but you NEVER poop before bath time so I didn't really pay it too much attention. Eventually, you started fussing so I went to get you out of your bouncy seat and surprise! You had pooped ALL OVER YOURSELF! Poopsie Daisy! I have heard of poop running out of the back of your diaper, but not the front! There was poop up to your belly button and all over your cute little outfit! You should have seen me trying to change you--I was having a really hard time because you were sticking your hands and feet all in the poop--it was a big mess! Finally I just buckled you onto your changing table so you couldn't roll off and cleaned things up. I had to snap a few pictures because you looked so darn cute and funny laying there wondering what was going on! Ha!

3 Months

Paislee Marie, you are 3 months old today! Time is going by so fast, and it makes me sad!

You are growing so fast! You weigh 14 lbs. 8 oz. and you are ~24 in. long (you're a wiggle worm, and hard to measure!). You are almost completely out of your 0-3 month clothes, and are wearing mostly 3-6 months now. Before long you will have grown out of them too :o( You are wearing size 2 diapers. Your feet are smaller than a size 1, so you aren't wearing shoes yet :o)

You are finally on a pretty good schedule. You wake up between 8-9 every morning. While I have breakfast, you play on your play mat and watch the Disney Channel. Most mornings I get to eat my bowl of cereal without you in my hands :o) You play for about an hour, usually doing tummy time and sitting in your Bumbo seat during this time as well. After about an hour, hour and a half at MOST, you are ready for your morning nap! You usually sleep for 2-3 hours, sometimes in your swing so I can get some things done, most of the time in my arms because you are a diva and wake up every time I try to put you down! Eventually, I give up and rock you the whole time. If you DO take a nap in your swing, I have to be moving around where you can hear and see me if you wake up or you will wake up and throw a fit! You like to listen to music while you sleep, and you like to hear me busy doing things in the kitchen--if it gets too quiet, you wake up! After you wake up and eat, we play again for a couple of hours and then you are ready for your afternoon nap, usually around 1-2, when Daddy is coming home. I hand you off to him and I get my shower and do laundry, dishes, and start dinner. One thing that almost never changes is your bath time. We try to do it at seven o'clock every night, or as close to seven as possible or you get allllll messed up! You LOVE bath time, and I don't think you would accept going to bed without it--I'm too scared to try! After your bath, we read 'Goodnight Moon' and then I feed you and rock you to sleep. On a good night you are asleep by 8:30, on a bad night you might not go to sleep until 10:30 or later. This is why we make sure to stay on schedule with your bath, you get mad if we don't :o) Diva. Sweet girl :o). You aren't sleeping through the night yet, but I don't mind. You wake up 1-2 times a night to eat, but you go right back to sleep. You were sleeping in your crib last week. You slept in there three nights in a row, and then you started feeling bad and came down with a yucky cold, so we let you back in the bed with us. But once you get better--you're getting back in your crib little miss!

Looks like you're going to be a big talker like your mama! You have started babbling a LOT lately, and we love to listen to you and get you on video! You like to mimic us, and watch our faces too! You are sitting with support, and like to sit on our knee's and watch television. You are getting very close to rolling over from your stomach to your back, and you are finally reaching for the toys that hang from your play mat. You will hold a rattle for a few seconds and you will shake it too, but we have to put it in your hand and wrap your fingers around it :o)

You are getting better at pooping! Remember when we had to use suppositories and prune juice? Now you poop on your own, 1-2 times a week! I know, it doesn't sound like much but you are going on your own and we are happy about it! We still get excited every time you poop, and it's always a joint effort when daddy is home. I guess we just want to see poop!

You have had your first cold since last Monday :o( We took you to the doctor last Thursday, she checked you out, and tested you for RSV--it was negative--and just sent you home to ride it out for the next 10-14 days :o( We were having to wake up every night in the middle of the night to spray saline spray up your nose and suction your boogies out, but I read somewhere that breast milk would work just as well--so for the past 2 nights I've been putting drops of milk in your nose and it seems like it works much better, you don't scream as loud, AND you seem to be getting better :o) I hate seeing you sick, it's pitiful--never get sick again!

This next month of your life is going to fly by faster than the others because we are going to be busy busy busy! You get to meet your family--finally! They are so excited to meet you, and I am so excited for them to meet you :o) You're going to have to stop growing so fast so they can hold you when we get there!

You take up lots and lots of our time--all of our time really, but we wouldn't change it for the world! See how I have only done 2 blog posts since your last birthday? By the way, this post has been a work in progress for the past 2 days, I have to blog a little here and there when I can!

We love you very much little girl! You bring so much happiness and love to our lives, and we don't know what we would do without you!

I miss blogging

Man its been a while! Seems like every blog I write now starts with those words! Every free minute I get is spent doing laundry, dishes or cooking. I barely get time to clean myself everyday, much less blog! I promise that once I get better at this motherhood thing I will blog much more, not just because I enjoy it but also because I want to have every moment of Paislee's sweet little life documented for her to look back on when she gets older :o)

This past week has been a little rough for all of us. Paislee has had a yucky cold since LAST Monday. We finally decided to take her to the doctor last Thursday and after a good thorough check to cover all of our bases, the doctor decided it was just a yucky cold, nothing serious, and Little Miss just has to ride it out. Sadly, there aren't any meds a baby can take this young--just Tylenol, and a little saline spray for stuffy noses, which she HATES! We are up every night around 3 a.m. cleaning out her nose and I'm pretty sure she wakes the people upstairs up with her pitiful screams. Is it terrible that I kinda hope she does wake them up, and that they can't go back to sleep--to get them back for being so loud ALL THE TIME? :o) Another reason I am SO ready to get out of here! 1 MORE MONTH!!!!!!!!

It's getting down to the nitty gritty! Jason leaves at the end of the week for a week long patrol, and is going to try to take the week off when he gets back so we can pack the house up because after that, he will be going to Seattle to his school--and then, we are OUTTA HERE! It's coming fast and I am so glad! Paislee is going to be walking before everyone meets her if we don't hurry up and get her home! She is growing everyday. She has such a funny little personality, and I can already tell she is going to be a little riot, and we will never have a dull moment in the Mozingo household. I could not ask for more! :o)

Here are a few pictures I have taken over the past few weeks...

This is Paislee's first bath without her baby net in it! She looks a little confused huh? Ha! She tried to slide down that little hump in the middle (designed to keep her up) the whole time--she wants to lay down! So glad I have a little water baby! Bath time is her favorite part of the day--no bedtime without it!

I didn't want to post this picture, but since I refuse to post on Facebook (too many people see Facebook pics!) I will post on here, JUST so we can look back on the event :o) This is Paislee's first meet with Elsa! I met Elsa's mom, Stacia, a few months before I had Paislee, and we were due around the same time! Elsa is 5 days younger than Paislee, and much smaller! Ha! We met Elsa and Stacia for lunch last weekend, and the girls just looked at each other like "What are YOU??" Don't you hate when you walk out of the house thinking you look decent, only to have a picture taken that proves you wrong?? UGH!

I have been selling Scentsy for a month now, and I am LOVING IT! Thank you to all that have placed an order with me, I hope you love it as much as I do--I know you do :o) Here is my website if you wanna check it out!
